Who We Are
Ted A. Reed, Executive Director
Ted A. Reed is the Executive Director of the California State Pipe Trades Council, which represents thousands of plumbers and pipe-fitters at locals throughout the state of California. Reed joined the United Association, which represents the plumbing and pipe fitting industry with over 300,000 members across North America, in 1968. He was first elected as a local union officer in 1984 and has served as a business agent, financial secretary, and business manager of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union #582, Orange County. He also served as chairman of the board of the Southern California Trust Funds and was past president of the California State Pipe Trades Council before becoming Executive Director in 2001. Reed is an avid golfer and outdoorsman.
